Meet Daniela Cott the modern-day Cinderella.
Daniela, 16, who worked on the streets and picked through rubbish bins to help her family, has become a supermodel after being discovered by a renowned necklace designer, Marina Gonzalez.
Daniela's family was reduced to poverty after her parents lost their jobs in Argentina's financial crisis and they were forced to join the "cartoneros" of Buenos Aires — the 10,000 people who survive by finding and selling scraps of recyclable material to processing plants.
According to 9NEWS, Daniela was rummaging through garbage when she was spotted as a potential model.
The 16-year-old Argentinian entered the 2008 Elite Model Look competition and defeated 1000 other contestants and has since worked in Milan, Paris and Madrid.
