Frederique van der Wal
Frederique van der Wal (born August 30, 1967, in The Hague, Zuid-Holland, The Netherlands) is a Dutch model, best known for her appearances in Sports Illustrated, Cosmopolitan, and Victoria's Secret. Frederique grew up in the city of the Hague. She attended college in The Netherlands and earned a bachelor's degree in economics. She manages her own financial affairs and businesses.
Frederique has appeared on many magazine covers and catalogs. She has also done runway and other fashion modeling. Frederique was hired by "Victoria's Secret" in 1989, when the company's target audience was only young women. She and American Stephanie Seymour were two of "Victoria's Secret" most prominent models during the company's rise to its position of international prominence in women's wear.
Frederique has also appeared in several movies and television shows, especially on the Travel Channel. She has her own line of clothing and fragrance. Film credits include Wild Wild West starring Will Smith in which she played Dr. Arliss Loveless' assistant, Amazonia. She also appeared briefly in Woody Allen's Celebrity as a friend of the supermodel played by Charlize Theron. Furthermore, Frederique can be spotted during the end credits of the film "54", starring Ryan Phillippe, Salma Hayek, Mike Myers, and Neve Campbell, as one of the VIP patrons walking towards the club. She also had a very brief cameo appearance in the The Million Dollar Hotel, starring Mel Gibson, Amanda Plummer and Milla Jovovich.
Frederique also appeared on ABC's Celebrity Mole: Hawaii, in which she was actually the rogue player hired by the producers to sabotage the player's money-earning efforts. She has a daughter, Scyler Pim Klein (born May 4, 2000), with boyfriend Nicholas Klein, a screenwriter.
Frederique also currently stars in TLC's Cover Shot, which she hosts.
