The Readerless Book

It was read years ago
Pleasant memory long buried
Couldn't even recall the title
Of that book so enchanting

A mundane housekeeping
An ordinary quest
And the book was found
Though it's not the goal

Would there be other books
Calling out in their silence
Hidden deep in the dusty past
And the dusts so deep in the rack?

Perhaps another idle search
Will pleasantly surprise me
With the discovery of the books
That I knew I was once crazy of!

So let me get that rack
And begin to purchase more books
Abandon them once read
Let the dusts hide them well

PS. Inspired by "The Lockless Door" by Robert Frost. Nah. Not really. Not even close. Heh. If you hate this piece (mine, not Robert's), you may hate another one, "The Road Not Cycled".
