Her name, Oluchi, means "god of work" in her native language, Igbo.
Oluchi was born in Lagos, Nigeria on the 1st of August 1982.
Onweagba graced the covers of Italian Vogue, i-D, ELLE, Untold, and Surface, and she also was featured in Nylon, Marie Claire, Allure, and other national editions of Vogue around the world. She also became the face of the campaigns for Gianfranco Ferré, Victoria's Secret, Gap, Express, Banana Republic, and Ann Taylor.
She met famous fashion designer Luca Orlandi and soon married him on St. Barths in August 2005 and they are very happy together.
Oluchi is 6' 2" making her one of the tallest models in the fashion industry!
When she turned 16, her friend persuaded her to do a competition called "Nokia Face Of Africa" (previously "Face Of Africa") and won the competition and also won a modeling contract to some of the most popular designers around the world.
